I. INSTRUCTIONS: Six degrees, also known as Paramita, Paramita is Sanskrit Parámitas, the Chinese translate it as Do, which means to pass, which also means completely, that is, to cross from the Me wharf. , across the shore of Enlightenment, from the place of suffering to the place of happiness and liberation. So the Six Degrees are the six means of cultivation, to bring sentient beings from Ignorance to Nirvana. II. SIX DEGREE: The Six Degrees include: Generosity, Precepts, Forbearance, Effort, Meditation, and Wisdom. 1) Almsgiving: Giving to others what you have, that is called giving, includes three things: a) Giving: Meeting the plight of the poor, helping and giving them things assets such as money, land, houses, vehicles ... to make a means of living, that is Tai giving, on the contrary, should not give other people money, means to do evil things, unfortunately do then we will get bad retribution. b) Dharma test: Bring your understanding of the Buddhadharma, explain it to others, believe it, do good, and avoid evil according to the Buddha's teachings. Leading people around to practice, become vegetarian, recite the Buddha's name, meditate, and recite sutras are all Dharma gifts. c) Fearless giving: Worry and fear make people very miserable, so a word of comfort, a sentence of comfort to make others feel secure and fearless, is fearless giving. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva often gives sentient beings fearlessness, so whenever they encounter fear, people often pray to Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara to let their minds be at peace. In the Heart Sutra, there is a sentence, "... Therefore, Bodhisattvas, relying on the Prajnaparamita Dharma, are unobstructed in their minds. Because the mind is unobstructed, they are unafraid. the final place of Nirvana...". The Amitabha Sutra also teaches that, when a person is dedicated to reciting the Buddha's name, when he is about to die, If the mind is not perverted, then one will be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. So helping others feel secure, not afraid of something is quite important. 2) Keeping the Precepts: Keeping the precepts is very important. When the Buddha was about to enter Nirvana, Ananda asked many important things, the Buddha taught to respect the precepts like a teacher. The content of maintaining the precepts includes: a) Keeping the precepts: Precepts are the true basis of liberation, where all good things, merits, and peace of mind arise. Through keeping the precepts, there is meditation; through meditation, wisdom arises. The Buddha formulated 5 precepts for lay people, 6 heavy and 28 light precepts for lay Bodhisattvas, 10 precepts for novices and novices, 250 precepts for bhikkhus, 348 precepts. for bhikkhunis, and for bodhisattvas, there are 10 heavy and 48 light precepts. b) Keeping oneself only to do good: Always keep body, speech, and mind doing, speak and think only good things. The scriptures teach: Don't do evil Do good deeds. Purify your mind. That's what the Buddhas teach. c) Transformation to save suffering sentient beings: Buddhism is also known as the Way of Compassion, which means bringing joy to save suffering. Saving people's suffering means that we have sown good deeds, giving grace to others without asking for anything in return, but doing good deeds will always have blessings in the future. 3) PERSONALITY: Someone has explained that patience is to endure, humiliation is to suffer humiliation, such an explanation is also partly correct, patience has four parts. a) Forbearance in favorable circumstances: When people praise you, don't take that pride in yourself, thinking that you're good, that you're better than everyone else, and then be arrogant and proud. Reading, memorizing, a few sutras, I am not sure I have fully understood the meaning of that sutra, I am not sure if I have followed the Buddha's teachings, I'm not sure I've proven it. Bach Cu Di was a great Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty, he sought out Zen Master O Sao to ask: - Please tell me the general idea of the Buddhadharma. The Zen master said: - This is a very easy sentence, listen to me here: The evil people act, the good ones serve the self-pity, the wishes of the Buddhas. (The meaning is stated above) After listening to it, Bach Cu Di said: - The words the Master just replied, even a child of three years old can say it! Zen master O Sao said: - Even a three-year-old child can speak, but an 80-year-old man may not have done it, do you think so?! b) Tolerance in adversity: Because cultivation is to be gentle, so even if you encounter scenes of people swearing or scolding, you must remain silent and endure. Let's consider that in a certain life we have caused unwholesome causes, so now we encounter bad results, happily accept them, without anger or enmity. On the contrary, I am grateful for the circumstances that have created a challenging opportunity for me to establish patience. c) Forbearance within: Even if outside society brings us troubles and troubles, our mind must always be kept pure. d) Forbearance in the outside: Situations such as hunger, poverty, poverty, illness still remain normal, diligent in cultivation. 4) EFFICIENT: Cultivators must always advance on the path of cultivation, it consists of four parts: a) Unborn evils: Unborn evil deeds, words, and thoughts, unborn and preserved let it be born. b) The evil has been born: We must eliminate the evil, doing evil means sin. In the penitential article it is written: Sin arises from the mind, bring the mind to confession, the mind is purified, the sin is immediately destroyed. Sin pepper, Pure mind all are not, That's what true repentance is. c) The good things have not arisen: Just as we have not yet loved people, have not helped people, let's learn to love people, help and give alms to people. That is we make good things arise. d) Good deeds have been born: The good deeds that we have done, let's do more, today we give little, tomorrow we give more, give more. The good done, we make it bigger. 5) MEDITATION: Meditation is the method that makes our mind pure, if the mind is pure, wisdom is born. In meditation, there are the Five Courts of Mind Contemplation, to deal with the uncontrollability of our mind. a) Contemplation of the breath: Beginners follow sitting meditation, people often practice Breath Contemplation, that is, watching the breath in and out so that their mind is focused on the breath, not thinking about things like that. , the other thing, treatment of mind disarray. b) Compassionate contemplation: Seeing that all sentient beings have Buddha-nature, equality, therefore, do not hate, but must love, this spell is used to treat anger. c) Contemplation of impurity: Considering that one's body is just bones, flesh, and blood, it stinks, and after death, one still loathes it, so as not to indulge in lust. d) Contemplating the Dharma of Cause and Condition: Considering that all dharmas are congruent, due to cause and condition, when the cause and conditions end, they will disintegrate and will not last forever to combat the greed for material things such as houses, cars, fields and gardens. . e) Contemplating the Buddha's name: Contemplating the merits and virtues of the Buddhas, thereby curing afflictions. It is also the Five communal houses of the mind, instead of contemplating the Buddha's name, it is the contemplation of the 18 precepts, which do not have "self and dharma", to deal with self-grasping. 6) INTELLIGENCE: Only for clear understanding, using right wisdom to understand, distinguish the truth of all things, do not accept false as true, do not accept false as true, do not cling to one's own false prejudices. , not following meaningless genetic traditions, not following heresies and superstitions. Often learn the truth and act in accordance with the truth. The items of wisdom include: a) Having wisdom by hearing the truth. (Van) b) Having wisdom by contemplating the truth. (Fourth) c) There is wisdom due to righteous practice. (Tu) Thanks to the projection wisdom, ignorance will be destroyed, afflictions will be eliminated, clearly see the truth that all things are only fake, impermanent, like vanity only, through wisdom will break down the wrongs. Mistakes cause suffering, cause bad karma to suffer reincarnation in the six realms, from which we practice to soon be liberated. III. CONCLUSION: When we realize that Buddhism is the way to liberation from birth and death, we Buddhists must practice the Six degrees, this method not only seriously repairs our body and mind but also helps us everyone, the merit is very great, practicing the Bodhisattva path, it is necessary to follow the Six degrees.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/1/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
