In the end, the main rule of a cultivator who follows the Buddha's Recitation method is to single-mindedly recite the six words "Namo Amitabha Buddha", whether walking, standing, lying down, or sitting, in order to pray for rebirth in the extreme land. lost. Perhaps we should also learn about this dharma in the following issues: - Where is it that there is a Buddhist recitation method? - The realm of ecstasy. - How to practice the Buddha's name according to the Buddha's teachings. A. WHERE HAS THE dharma sect of the Buddha: The sutras related to Amitabha Buddha and the realm he protects are called Ultimate Bliss, It is the Sutra of Infinite Life, Contemplation of Infinite Life and Amitabha, so if you want to learn about the Pure Land School or the Buddha Recitation method, you need to understand through the three sets of the Pure Land School. 1. The Immeasurable Life Sutra is the main sutra, in this sutra analyzes Amitabha Buddha from the past when he knew he had a Buddha, so far he is residing in the West, the realm of Ultimate Bliss, he Currently taking care of all sentient beings sincerely praying to be reborn in the realm of bliss. According to this sutra, about the time when Buddha The Self at Vuong was born, there was a king named Kieu Thi Ca. King Kieu Thi Ca heard the Buddha preach the Dharma, immediately abandoned his throne and became a monk named Phap Tang. One day, he bowed to the Buddha, knelt down, clasped his hands to pray for the Buddha's proof and made 48 vows. Because of that vow, he later became Amitabha Buddha. This Sutra is also called: Great Foundation, Great Amitabha Sutra, Great Immeasurable Life Sutra, In the distant past, in the country of Hao Thanh, there was a king who became a Buddha named Dai Thong Tri Thang Phat. When he was still on the throne, he had 16 princes, when he heard that he had become a Buddha, these 16 princes immediately left home to follow Buddha Dai Thong Tri Thang to practice, taught by the Buddha the Lotus Sutra, and later all 16 princes. These are all Buddhas. There are two Buddhas in the East: Asuka and Tu Di Dinh, two Buddhas in the Southeast: Lion Yin and Lion General, two Buddhas in the South: Void Eternal and Eternal Death, two are Buddha in the Southwest: Emperor General and Pham General, two Buddhas in the West: Amitabha and Suffering Necessary Worldly Suffering, two Buddhas in the Northwest: Da Ma La Bat Chien Sandalwood Shen Thong and Tu. Di General, two Buddhas in the North are Van Tu Ta and Van Tu Ta Vuong, one is Buddha in the Northeast: Destroying Necessary Worldly Suffering and the 16th person is the World-Honored One in this Saha world. 2. The Infinite Life Sutra records what happened when the Blessed One was staying at Ky Xa Quat mountain, because he inspired the prayer of Queen Empress Vi De Hy being kept in solitary confinement by King A Xa The in the forbidden room, he said. The Venerable Muc Kien Lien and Ananda went there, and the Blessed One embodied there, teaching Vi De Hy the method of cultivation to liberate from the realm of Saha and Vide Hy thanks to the divine power of the Blessed One. , she was seen in many realms, but she chose the realm of Ultimate Bliss. That is the realm of Amitabha Buddha, including 9 chapters. The Buddha taught Ms. Vi De Hy the magic of Contemplation of Infinite Life (Infinite Life is living a long life, which is also one of the 12 titles honoring Amitabha Buddha). Thought should also talk about the Buddha's fate for Ms. Vi De Hy, the queen of Tan Ba Sa, the mother of King A Xa The. When Prince Siddhartha was looking for a teacher to learn the way, he went to Vuong Xa, the capital of the Ma Kiet Da kingdom ruled by King Binh Sa Vuong, Binh Sa Vuong saw that he was a monk with noble appearance, so visited and asked when the Crown Prince attained enlightenment, invited him to return to visit the kingdom of Ma Kiet Da. Therefore, not long after attaining enlightenment and after having saved Mr. Kassapa and Muc Kien Lien, the Blessed One soon returned to the kingdom of Ma Kiet Da to save King Binh Sa King, this meeting, the Blessed One preached. In the Sutra of Tuc Sanh Truyen, Binh Sa Vuong heard that he had attained Tu Da Hoan and he donated bamboo forests to build Truc Lam Tinh Xa. In the past, when Queen Vi De Hy had no children, King Binh Sa Vuong went to many places to pray to gods for help, one day a general told the king that there was a benevolent fairy on Phu Lau Na mountain. virtue, After three years, he will be born as a king's son. Because he wanted to have a baby soon after a couple of requests but couldn't, the last time the king ordered the messenger to transform into a fairy life to soon achieve his wish. Therefore, before he died, the prophet made a vow: "Today, the king uses his heart and mouth to send people to kill me. Not yet born, but already have animosity, so A Xa The is also known as Vi Sanh Resentment. When the World-Honored One was old, Ananda's brother Devadatta wanted to lead the Sangha and asked the Buddha to give him that position. Buddha knew that Devadatta was not worthy, so he refused to give it. Mrs. Dat Da recently instigated Crown Prince A Xa The to usurp his father's throne. Binh Sa Vuong calmed down, knowing that he wanted to be king, not only did not arrest him, but he passed the throne to A Xa The. After ascending the throne, A Xa The ordered the king's father to be imprisoned. Vi De Hy did not allow her to eat or drink, but Vi De Hy visited and secretly hid food in her body to supply Binh Sa Vuong, knowing this, A Xa The ordered Vi De Hy to be imprisoned in the forbidden palace. It was here that she prayed to the World-Honored One to show her the cause, and teach her how to practice to escape suffering in this world. That is why the World-Honored One preached the Sutra of Quantitative Life. As for A Xa The, after imprisoning his mother, he sent a barber to the prison to kill his father, and soon after he heard that he had his first child, then he knew the father-son relationship, he went to the forbidden room to ask his mother. About the King's father's affections for him, Mrs. Vi De Hy recounted the noble feelings Binh Sa Vuong had for him, he regretfully ordered his father's release, but his order came later than his duty. barber must execute. Cause and effect is done. To teach monastics, The actions of Devadatta and King Asha Thea towards the Buddha and his parents became the five transgressions, anyone who commits it, is sent to hell without interruption. According to the Lotus Sutra, the Dharma Flower Sutra, the Buddha said that in a past life, Devadatta had taught him the Lotus Sutra, so he had predicted for Devadatta to become the heavenly King Tathagata later. this. And King A Xa The later became an effective protector, especially he supported the work of the first meeting of the Sutras. Contemplation of the Infinite Life Sutra, the Buddha taught 16 visualizations, in order to enter the Nine Grades of Amitabha Buddha, that is the realm of pure bliss or pure land, but Quan is the practice of Zen, so the Contemplation of the Infinite Life Sutra is a practice. Zen practice of the Pure Land. This sutra is also known as the Ten Luc Quan Sutras. 3. The Amitabha Sutra, we often recite in prayer sessions, In this sutra, the Buddha preached to Sariputra and the great assembly at Ky Thoth Lonely Garden. In this sutta, the Buddha briefly described the realm of Amitabha Buddha, advising everyone to practice in order to be reborn in that realm. Then, the main outline is the following sutra: - Mr. Sariputta! If there is a good boy or a good woman who has heard of Amitabha Buddha, try to uphold his name: Either one day, or two days, or three days, or four days, or five days, or six days , or seven days, one heart is not confused, then when that person dies, the Buddha Amitabha and the saints will appear before him, when he dies, his mind is not confused, he will be born in the land of extremes. bliss of Amitabha Buddha. It can be said that this is an important and key passage for the development of the Pure Land School of Nembutsu. The Immeasurable Life Sutra is called the Great Buddha Amitabha, so it is also known as the Little Buddha Amitabha. Based on three sutras: Immeasurable Life (translated by Kang Tang Khai during the Cao Wei Dynasty), Quan Amitabha (translated by Cuong Luong Da Xa, translated by the Liu Song dynasty), Amitabha (composed by Thien Than, Cuu Ma La Thi, and Dieu's reign). Translator) and the Commentary on Rebirth in the Pure Land (written by Vasubandhu, translated by Bodhi Luu Chi), Mr. Tue Vien (334-416) promoted the Buddha's Remembrance and Remembrance, establishing the Pure Land sect. Unlike Zen Buddhism with a lineage, Pure Land School honors those who have attained Patriarchship, Chinese Buddhism has honored Tue Vien as the First Patriarch of the Pure Land School, and in turn honors the Pure Land Patriarchs as follows: : 1) Tue Vien 2) Thien Dao 3) Thua Vien 4) Phap Chieu 5) Thieu Khang 6) Dien Tho from Chong Huyen, brand name Tri Giac 7) Province Thuong Tuu Vi 8) Chau Hoang himself from Buddha Hue, brand name Lien Tri 9) Tri Huc self-spontaneity 10) Hanh Sach 11) Really Hien Tu Tu Tu, brand name Tinh Am 12) Te Tinh self Triet Ngo 13) An Quang B. ULTIMATE WORLD: Regarding the realm of Ultimate Bliss, it not the quiet Nirvana, as described in the Amitabha Sutra: - Hey, Mr. Sariputra! Why is the other realm called Ultimate Bliss? Because sentient beings in that country do not have sufferings and only enjoy pleasures, they are called Ultimate Bliss. - Again, Mr. Shariputra! In the Land of Ultimate Bliss, there are seven balustrades, seven nets, and seven rows of trees, all of which are surrounded by four kinds of jewels. That is why the other country is called Ultimate Bliss. - Again, Mr. Shariputra! The land of Ultimate Bliss has a pond of seven precious gems, and the water of eight merits overflows in that pond. The bottom of the pond is usually covered with yellow sand. The road and the four sides of the pond are made of gold, silver, lapis lazuli and crystal. On the pond, there are also dignified pavilions made of gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, mother-of-pearl, chain pearls, onyx. In the pond there are lotus flowers as large as wheels. The blue lotus emits blue light, the yellow lotus flower radiates yellow light, the red lotus flower radiates red light, the white lotus flower radiates white light, all of which have wonderful pure flavors. - Hey, Mr. Sāriputta! The Land of Ultimate Bliss accomplishes such dignified merit. - Again, Mr. Shariputra! The land of the other Amitabha Buddha, often played with heavenly music; The earth was made of pure gold, and day and night for six times often rained down on heavenly mandalas. Sentient beings in this realm come out early in the morning, they often bring baskets of precious flowers and make offerings to 100,000 kotis of Buddhas in other directions, but within a moment, they have returned to their own country, in time for breakfast. After eating, they went to meditate. - Mr. Sariputta! The Land of Ultimate Bliss accomplishes such dignified merit. - Again, Mr. Shariputra! The other country often has colorful and strangely beautiful bird species such as: white crane, magpie, bird of love, relic bird, old calendula, bird of common destiny. All kinds of birds, day and night for six times, sing gentle songs. In these voices are expressed such wonderful dharmas as the five faculties, the five powers, the seven parts of bodhicitta, and the eight parts of the noble path. With such wonderful dharmas, sentient beings in this land, having heard the sound of the Dharma, all recite the Buddha's name, the Dharma, and the Sangha. - Mr. Sariputta! You should not say that these birds are born of sin. Why is that why? It is because the land of that Buddha Amitabha does not have the three evil paths. - Mr. Sariputta! Amitabha Buddha's land has no evil name, Is there any real evil? These birds were all because Amitabha Buddha wanted to spread the Dharma, so he turned out like that. - Mr. Sariputta! In that land of Amitabha Buddha, there are gentle breezes that shake the rows of precious trees, and the webs of treasures, emitting wonderful sounds, such as hundreds of thousands of types of music, playing at the same time. "Whoever hears these voices will naturally generate thoughts of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. - Mr. Sariputta! The land of Amitabha Buddha accomplished such dignified merit. In this Saha world, there are six paths: Hell, hungry ghosts, animals, humans, Asuras, and Gods, and four saints, namely sravakas, bodhisattvas, pratyekabuddhas, and buddhas, forming the ten dharma realms. In the Land of Ultimate Bliss, there are three levels: Upper, Middle, and Lower; each level has three levels, adding up to nine products, everyone is born in any realm, when the lotus flower in that realm blooms, that person is born, continues to practice, then evolves, if not refined. If you try to recite the Buddha's name, you will be relegated to the lower realms. According to the Sutra of the Contemplation of Limits of Life, the conditions for cultivation in order to obtain these articles were taught by the Buddha from the 14th to 16th dharma contemplations as follows: 14) CONSIDERATION OF SUPERIOR PRODUCTS: The Buddha told Ananda and Vide Hy : “What is the High Priest like? If sentient beings want to be reborn in the other realms, they should generate three kinds of mind: sincere mind, profound mind, Devoted to vows, all will be reborn. There are three more tangible classes to be born in Ultimate Bliss: One is compassionate, does not kill, and keeps the precepts. Second is the class of reading and reciting the sutras of Phuong Dang Mahayana. The third class is practicing six mindfulness, dedicating the vow to be born in An Duong. If you have enough merit like this, from one day to seven days, you will be reborn. Because of that person's strong efforts, when he was reborn, Buddha Amitabha, together with two Bodhisattvas Avalokitesvara and Bodhisattvas, Avalokitesvara and Bodhisattvas, countless Buddhas, hundreds of thousands of sravakas and bhikkhus, innumerable gods and palaces. all show up. At that time, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara held the Vajra radio station, and together with Great The Chi Bodhisattva came before the practitioner. Amitabha Buddha magnifies the light to illuminate the body of the person who is reborn, and then joins hands with the Bodhisattvas to receive him. Two great saints Avalokitesvara, Dai Shizhi and countless Bodhisattvas praised and encouraged him in unison. The meditator, having witnessed that scene, is filled with joy and excitement, finds himself sitting on a vajra platform, following the Buddha and the holy assembly, within the span of a finger, is reborn in Ultimate Bliss. When he was born in the other realm, he saw the Buddha's golden body full of generals, and the Bodhisattvas were also fully dignified; the lights and the treasure forest all expound the dharma. After hearing this, the meditator immediately realizes the forbearance of the law of no-birth. In a moment he serves the Buddhas in the ten directions, receives a prediction before the Buddhas, and then returns to his native country, attaining immeasurable hundreds of thousands of dharani subjects. This is called the High Product of the High Life. What is Trung Sinh High Quality? There are sentient beings who do not accept and uphold the Phuong Dang Sutra, but well understand the meaning of animals. For the first meaning, their hearts are not agitated, they believe deeply in the separation of cause and effect, and do not slander the Mahayana Dharma. If a meditator dedicates his merits and recitations to the Buddha and wishes to be born in Ultimate Bliss, then at the end of his life the three saints in the West, with immeasurable multitudes of retinues, carrying a golden throne, will appear in front of him and praise him, saying: "Father! You practice Mahayana and understand the First Meaning, so now I come to welcome you." Immediately, World Honored One, along with a thousand transformed Buddhas, simultaneously reached down to receive him. Now the meditator finds himself sitting on the golden throne, praising the Buddhas with his palms folded, and in an instant he is reborn in the seven treasures pond in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. That purple-gold flower is like a great precious flower, blooming all night long. At that time, the practitioner's body is purple-gold, and under his feet is a lotus of seven treasures, and the Buddha and Bodhisattva simultaneously emit light to illuminate him, and his eyes immediately open. . Due to previous practice, at that time, I heard the sounds everywhere saying pure Dharma, the First Truth, which is very profound. Hearing this, he immediately went down to the metal platform to pay homage to the Buddha and clasped his hands in praise of the World-Honored One. After seven days in a row, he was able to not rot at the fruit of Ananda La Samadhi, and was able to fly freely around the ten directions, inheriting the Buddha's teachings, and cultivating samadhi. Thus, through a small kalpa, one can attain the forbearance of no-birth and hope the Buddhas predict it. This is the scene of the Middle Ages. What is the High-Quality Lower-Born? There are sentient beings who also believe in cause and effect and do not slander the Mahayana, but only develop the mind to seek the unsurpassed path, and then use that merit to recite the Buddha's name and vow to go to Ultimate Bliss. When that meditator was on his deathbed, Amitabha Buddha, Avalokitesvara, Dai Shi Chi, and Bodhisattvas holding golden lotuses, manifested five hundred Buddhas to welcome him. At that time, five hundred transformed Buddhas simultaneously raised their hands and praised, "Father! Now that you are pure, you have an unsurpassed mind, so I come to receive you." When the meditator has seen that scene, immediately saw himself sitting on a golden lotus, after sitting down, the petals closed, and after the Blessed One was born in the pond of seven treasures. Thus, after a day and a night, the lotus flower bloomed, and seven days later, the Buddha was seen. But although seeing the Buddha, hungry with the generals of kindness is still unclear, after twenty-one days, it will be clear. Now the reborn, hearing the sounds, expounded the miraculous Dharma, flew around in the ten directions making offerings to the Buddhas, and heard the profound Dharma in front of the World-Honored Ones. After three minor kalpas like that, he attained the enlightenment of the hundred-year-old Dharma door, and remained in the first stage of joy and happiness. This is the scene where the High Priest is born. The above is the subject of the thought of Seniors being reborn, belonging to the fourteenth contemplation. 15. QUALIFICATIONS OF CENTRAL PRODUCTS The Buddha said to Ananda and Vi De Hy: “What is the Middle Ages? If sentient beings uphold the five precepts, keep the Eight Precepts, or practice other precepts, do not create the five opposites and wrong things, then dedicate that good root to seek rebirth in the world of Ultimate Bliss in the West. When that living being dies, Amitabha Buddha and his monks and nuns under the interference of interference, shine golden light on them, expound on the dharmas of suffering, emptiness, impermanence, and not-self, and praise the way of renunciation and liberation from suffering. . Witnessing that scene, the yogi gets excited, finds himself sitting on a lotus, hastily kneels down with his hands clasped in front of him. Before looking up, was born in the world of Ultimate Bliss. After rebirth, just as the lotus flower blooms, the meditator hears sounds praising the Four Noble Truths, and immediately attains arahantship, complete with the three wisdoms, the six powers, and the bowl of liberation. This is the scene of the Middle Ages being born. What is the Middle Ages? If sentient beings strictly keep the Eight Precepts or the novice or the Complete Precepts for one day and night, all positions are complete. When he was dying, he met a good scholar who told him about the joys of Amitabha Buddha and the forty-eight vows of the Dharma Store bhikkhu. When that person heard the Buddha's name, he passed away, and his consciousness was immediately reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, as quickly as the stretching of a man's arm. After seven days, the practitioner can meet Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and Dai The Chi, hear the miraculous Dharma, have a happy and beautiful mind, attain Tu Da Hoan fruit, and after a small life will attain Arahantship. This is the scene of the Middle Ages being born.” This subject of thought is called the Middle Ages of Distinction, belonging to the fifteenth contemplation. 16. QUALIFICATIONS OF LOWER PRODUCTS The Buddha said to Ananda and Vi De Hy: "What is a low-level birth? Or there is a being who is ignorant and ignorant, who, though he does not slander the sutras of Phuong Dang, but creates many evil deeds without shame, that person, on his deathbed, encounters good knowledge and tells him the names of the twelve types of Mahayana sutras, immediately eradicated very heavy evil karma in a thousand kalpas. The level of knowledge said to hold hands and recite "Namo Amitabha Buddha"; Because people sincerely confess the Buddha's name, they will eliminate their sins in fifty million kalpas of birth and death. At that moment, the Tathagata of Immeasurable Life sensed it, and immediately sent the Buddha, the Quan Yin, and the Chi Chi to appear in front of the practitioner, praising him, saying: "Good man! You have declared the Buddha's name, so all sins are eliminated, I have come to receive you." Now, when the meditator sees the light of the Transformation Buddha filling his house, his heart is filled with joy, he immediately relaxes his life, sits on a treasured lotus flower, follows the Buddha, and is reborn in the Seven Treasures Pond. After being reborn, after forty-nine days the lotus flower blooms. Just as the flowers bloomed, the great compassion Avalokiteshvara and the Bodhisattva Dai Shi Chi released great light, abiding him, and expounding to him the profound meaning of the twelve kinds of sutras. Of course, listen, believe and understand, Generating the unsurpassed Bodhi mind, after twelve minor kalpas, he accomplished the hundred dharma-doors, and entered the First Ground. This is the scene of the Lower High Being. What is the Middle Ages? Or there are ignorant beings who break the five precepts, the eight precepts, and the strict precepts, steal from the Sangha and the offerings of the Sangha, impure, preach the Dharma, have no shame in their hearts, and use evil karma to beautify themselves. Those who create such obstacles will inevitably fall into hell, so at the time of death, the fire generals of Hell appear at the same time. But this person was fortunate enough to meet good and knowledgeable people who told him about Amitabha Buddha's majesty, ten powers, divine powers, and the dharmas: Precepts, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and liberated knowledge. When the applicant hears this, he develops a sense of trust and respect, so his sins are eradicated in eighty million kalpas of birth and death. The hell fire turns into a cool wind blowing heavenly flowers. On the flower, there are transformed Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who appear to receive them, and within a single thought, they will be reborn in the lotus flower in the Seven Treasures Pond. After being reborn, after six kalpas, a new lotus flower blooms. Just when the flowers bloomed, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and Dai The Chi appeared, comforted them with the Brahman sound, and preached the profound Dharma of the Mahayana. After hearing this, the practitioner immediately generates the unsurpassed mind. This is the scene of the Lower Middle Ages. What is a low-level birth? Or there are sentient beings who commit five crimes against the ten evils, doing all kinds of bad things; That fool due to evil karma should have fallen into the evil path, spent many kalpas, and suffered immensely. But when dying, this person, thanks to meeting good knowledge, uses many ways of consolation, teaches miracles to hear, and teaches remembrance of the Buddha. Although people listen to the teachings, but because of the oppressive suffering, they are not free to visualize the Buddha of Infinite Life Tathagata. Seeing this, the benefactor said: "If you can't think of that Buddha, you should sincerely say 'Namo Amitabha Buddha' whose fame has not ceased for ten thoughts." Practitioners obey. And by declaring the Buddha's name, every thought can eliminate the sins of eighty million kalpas of birth and death. At the end of his life, he sees a golden lotus flower as brilliant as the sun appearing in front of him. In about one thought, he was reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Thus, after twelve great kalpas, the lotus flower blooms. When the flowers bloom, the two great monks Avalokitesvara. Dai Shizhi uses the language of great compassion because practitioners speak broadly about the true nature of dharmas and how to eliminate sin. When people hear that their body and mind are happy, they immediately generate unsurpassed bodhichitta. This is the scene of the low-level birth. The above thought is called Ha Bei Vang Sanh.
