Now that the Buddha is farther and farther away, the earthly love is getting heavier and heavier, so the diligent person can't generate enlightenment to step up to the holy stage, and the lazy person wanders and floats in the danger of death. So, if we don't rely on this Pure Land method, what can we rely on to quickly get rid of birth and death? How great! Therefore, it should be said that in order to treat depression in the Dharma-ending age, it is necessary to have an effective spiritual medicine. But thinking back, it was effective in the past, but now it is very effective; So what's the fault? It is also because the mouth says to seek birth in the Pure Land, but the mind is attached to Taha, and because of perseverance, courage, and understanding, is not as good as the ancients. It is said that in the past, there was a story about Born, but after many years it was lost, so it is no longer seen. But there are also many surviving passages that are scattered in the books of authors inside and outside Buddhism. Now, according to my understanding, depending on the case, I choose to take or omit, only choose stories with clear cause and effect, it took many days to transcribe into this book, and this is only one tenth of the hundred. thousands of stories. Now, in the year of Giap Than (1584), I don't dare to compare with the national teacher Trung Phong[4] in the capital, I went into seclusion at Thuong Phuong amm to choose and then follow each of them and arrange them in the order of first and last. Again proving this method the saints all turn to, and supplement the birth induction works of the contemporaries. This book has a total of about 166 stories and interspersed with explanations to clarify the hidden meaning in it. Therefore, the title is "Rebirth in the collection", with the aim of making the lay person, when reading through this book, immediately say: "I am reborn because of the same way of liberation, and also because of the same unity. but reborn, I am also reborn thanks to the same spiritual induction, I am reborn through such great compassion and great vows, and I am reborn thanks to correcting my mistakes and boldly changing the karma that is about to fall, Because of this, I was born in the upper class, and in this way I was born in the middle and low grades." I just reviewed the old story, re-examined this story as evidence for those who practice pure karma. One day, a visitor came to visit me, he hadn't seen a few stories, suddenly said: - Pure Land is due to mind, outside the mind there is no Pure Land, rebirth in the Pure Land is a parable, do you think there is real birth? Is that not contrary to the meaning of sterility[5]? I waited for him to calm down, and slowly said to him: - How easy it is to say! If it is only non-birth, then all will cease, perhaps there is only mind. If you are truly enlightened, birth will not be a problem! Birth is inherently not real, so all the time you are born, you have never been born. Besides, have you finished all of the smuggled mind yet? The guest replied: - No. - Oh! If the mind has not stopped, the germ of birth is still there. The origin of birth has not ended, one must be born in a dark place in the sea of ​​suffering of the three worlds[6]. So if you don't ask to be born in the Pure Land, where will you be born? Tough in the six roads[7], spends a lot of time in the nine chapters[8], benefits and harms are separated by a heaven and earth, perhaps because he hasn't thought of it yet. If I use flowery words to discuss the high and low, I can also do that, but the reason why I don't do that is lest I cause controversy. For those who know the value of the Dharma, they listen to the Dharma. three karmas to practice. If you really don't think my words are wrong, then even the Pure Land is the Buddha vehicle. Because there has never been a hair-splitting separation, so there is no contrast.
