WHAT IS WINNING SUKHAVATI. Birth and death is a problem that everyone has to go through, but not everyone can understand its nature. From a dualistic point of view, samsara is said to be two polar opposites and thus mankind has always sought to prolong life whose ideal is immortality. Despite great efforts, humans cannot achieve that goal for a simple reason, which is the law of nature. While accepting the truth of birth and death, people continue to seek to explain the phenomenon after death with two opposite extremes that there is nothing left after death (annihilation) and existence after death. died. In the second attitude, there are many different views. There is a theory that the soul (mind) exists unchanged or immortal<1> (permanent view), There is a theory that after death the sinful soul has to wait until the final judgment day to either go to heaven or fall to hell as determined by God (Christianity, Islam...). <2>Buddhism also affirms that after death people do not completely disappear but continue to reincarnate according to their created karma, except for saints. Consciousness, bardo or simply called the soulless soul<3> continues to exist in the realms or realms in accordance with one's karmic consciousness. Because of dualistic perception, it is completely understandable to be concerned with survival after death. According to the Pure Land school, the goal of the Pure Land cultivator is to seek rebirth in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. However, Mahayana sutras are often metaphorical rather than literal. Therefore, Proper understanding of the Mahayana teachings is a big challenge for Buddhist practitioners in particular and Buddhist believers in general. This article provides an understanding of 'rebirth' based on the core teachings of Buddhism in order to provide Buddhist practitioners with beliefs, specifically the Pure Land method, with a advice and hope that it helps Pure Land practitioners have stronger and more realistic beliefs in this real life. The article will present four points as follows: Concept of the world of Ultimate Bliss When learning about Buddhism, Buddhist learners should distinguish two sources of teachings in order to properly understand the Buddha's teachings and the means of the patriarchs. While the source of the original teachings is often very clear, specific, the source of the Mahayana teachings is often presented through symbols, metaphors. Therefore, Mahayana Buddhists easily make the mistake of understanding the teachings in the 'literal' meaning rather than on the basis of the Buddhist seal.<4>Clearly, no one denies that the Pure Land teachings belong to the Buddha. Mahayana system and has a symbolic rather than concrete value. The Amitabha Sutra describes the realm of Ultimate Bliss in the West which is more than 'ten thousand kotis of Buddha lands'. If understood 'literally', Bliss is a physical realm that exists in the West, far away from the Saha world. If the material realm (even if it is a treasure) has objective life, it can still be reached by the body of the five aggregates, even if it is far away, without waiting for death. The proof is that science is conquering and even reaching uninhabited planets. Moreover, if it is said that Ultimate Bliss is a material realm created and owned by Amitabha Buddha, there will be objections. The first, Shakyamuni Buddha did not teach that the Buddhas could create the world as he himself was born into this world, but did not create the saha world. Second, to think that Amitabha Buddha created the world of Ultimate Bliss is like accepting the theory that God created Heaven and all other things including humans and the world we live in. If only Blissful and Paradise are mentioned, there is no difference between Buddhism and Christianity, because both accept the creator. Third, a material realm that arises but does not die cannot exist because it is contrary to the Buddhist seal of impermanence and no-self. Based on the above ideas, Buddhist learners should look back to reflect and understand the Buddha's teachings in the symbolic direction. The nature of Amitabha Buddha is immeasurable life, immeasurable light, is the Buddha Dharma body. The Mahayana teachings all accept that the Dharmakaya embraces all the worlds. The world of Ultimate Bliss, understood in the sense of the Buddha's Dharma body, is a pure realm, belonging to the mind. From the pure nature of Amitabha Buddha manifesting the realm of Ultimate Bliss (Pure Land) is completely consistent with the following teachings: 'Self-nature Amitabha, Pure Land only'; 'Three karmas are always pure, the same Buddha goes to the West'. 'Pure land is a pure heart, don't doubt to ask about the West, Amitabha is a bright nature, you have to work hard to find Ultimate Bliss.' (Words of Buddha Emperor Tran Nhan Tong)'<5> 'Don't say the West is near, the journey to the West is ten thousand miles away. Amitabha Buddha's love and guidance can lead to liberation from birth and death.'<6> 'Don't say that the Western world is far away, the Western world is right in front of you. Like water flowing to the sea, like the moon never leaving the sky. ' The world of Ultimate Bliss is very far away but also very near and everyone can contact it when the three karmas are always pure, ie no longer defilements, Buddha nature, Nirvana, true happiness. When our mind is pure, we have one mind of Buddha (Buddha nature), then Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are waiting to invite us into the world of Ultimate Bliss to experience liberation together. Thus, the life-saving vows of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are permanent and true. I'm just afraid that sentient beings don't create enough 'feeling', so they don't 'fit' with the Buddhas and therefore, if they ask for it, it's hard to get it. Seeking rebirth and death If one understands that Ultimate Bliss is not a physical realm but a mental scene, the next question is how to seek rebirth? Is praying for rebirth to be asking for death? In the past, when it comes to rebirth, everyone understands death and about the world of Ultimate Bliss. Because of this understanding, Pure Land cultivators really want to be reborn in a land where there is no more suffering like the Saha realm. Praying for rebirth like that is synonymous with asking for death and dying to return to the pure realm without suffering, which seems to be liked by everyone. However, does anyone dare to throw away this precious life to return to Ultimate Bliss right away? Definitely not, even want to live longer despite always groaning in pain. It is a contradiction when we understand that rebirth is synonymous with death. Moreover, if anyone asks what is the purpose of dharma friends going to Ultimate Bliss, everyone seems to answer in unison that they return to Ultimate Bliss to cultivate to become a Buddha and then return to Ta Ba to save sentient beings. That answer seems to be very noble with the bodhisattva spirit, but the truth is that each person knows it for himself. There are two ideas to present for you to see and evaluate the truth of the above answer. First, Pure Land cultivators often have the idea of aversion to Saha, Praying to be reborn in Ultimate Bliss with the aim of escaping suffering in Tathagata, hoping to enjoy the peace available in the Pure Land. In the Southern Tradition (Pali) Sutras, the Buddha taught the practice of contemplating 'encouragement' with the aim of encouraging practitioners not to be greedy and attached, but to easily concentrate on practicing, serving and dedicating; I don't understand from where the Pure Land yogi understands disgust as running away. Moreover, in Taba - a world of suffering and joy but practitioners have not yet strived diligently to practice properly, there is no guarantee that you will practice in a place of complete happiness. This view is completely contrary to the teaching of Shakyamuni Buddha and he himself proves it. It is only this Saha world that is the most suitable place to practice and experience enlightenment and liberation.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.6/10/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
